“The Trainer”- Jay Moore
The Authentic LLC is Jay Moore! An Alabama native hailing from Montgomery. Moore is a Hunter Jumper trainer, rider and avid judge. His passion for horses began at the age of five.
After attending various summer camps and riding opportunities growing up he began mucking stalls as a working student at fourteen. His love for equestrianism grew as he gained experience from Tennessee Walkers to Eventing until finding his home in the Hunter Jumper world.
Knowing that this is truly his calling, Moore graduated high school and continued his studies at THE UNIVERSITY OF FINDLAY. Where he competed on their IHSA team and studied equine studies.
He proceeded to increase his abilities by studying under the late David Q Wright, who was his biggest influence, gaining expertise in managing a top-level show barn, barn management and true horsemanship.
Jay has worked alongside trainers such as Ashley Morrison, Emily Williams, Chelise Storace, Melissa Hirt, and Matt Piccolo to name a few. He has had the opportunity to clinician with some of the best including Michael Page, Bill Schaub, Jeff Cook, and Nancy Whitehead.
Now after many years of hard work paying off, Jay established The Authentic LLC in August 2019. He is proud to be an “Authentic Equestrian” doing what he loves every day. Jay enjoys helping riders reach their full potential, as well as the horses. Moore has an objective of expanding his business with the aid of business manager Kevin Richardson.
